Heroes and more other things.
Hmmm, I managed to keep a normal rhythm this week, but only by sacrificing some stuff, pushed to next week, when I'll have two weeks off.
So if I don't want to become crazy and keep some free time to do nothing, I'll have to do some of them every two weeks, change the usual days (I like routine in my life, having this moment/day for this specific act help me a lot. I can adapt, but only by readjusting and set up another routine.), stuff like that.
Point is, things are looking good. I can comment and answer to comments without waiting the week-end.
Picspam/Review of Flesh and Blood will be this week-end.
Shows from last weeks I finally managed to see:
Numb3rs I love the Eppes family. Seriously.
NCIS:LA: Specific memory boxes! High five between Nate and Eric for karaoke!
Scrubs: I really like the new team. There is some copy/paste between the characters, but it still works, I like them like that. Drew and Denise (Cox and Jordan, the younger years) particularly. I loved what they did with the cart. The security guards are a copy/paste which works less well, they'll never be the Janitor.
Also, Lucy's reaction when meeting Jordan? Win. Her shock made me burst of laughing. The scene is here, if you're curious and don't want to bother with the whole episode.
Bones: The X-Files music brought back some memories, but I wouldn't have recognized Langly if I didn't know he would be in the episode. He's got short hair! Loved the whole scene with the MRI. And I may have seen slashy vibes between Sweets and Hodgins.
Chuck: I got the same thought than everyone about Awesome. Happy for the last episode.
You know, as much I like Rodney McKay and SGA, I wish they did with him what they did with Chuck. He's still Chuck, still someone who didn't chose to be a spy and everything that goes with it, still freaks out, but his two/three years of experience shows. He knows most of this stuff, he's used to it, and he grew up while staying the same. The Chuck who went to help Awesome in the building while staying (mostly) calm was the real Chuck, the Intersect didn't come to play until he saw the guards. Whereas Rodney only kept the changes of the experience when the plot asked for it, or he was still the same Rodney who doesn't shut up when the soldiers tell him to stay silent. Not saying Rodney wasn't courageous. Just that his five years in the first team of exploration should have be more visible.
Now watch as the next episode of Chuck proves me wrong.
Then, Heroes!
Hope you liked the return of Mohinder, because it's all we'll have in this episode! Seriously, they're already getting rid of him? He's coming back, right?
In the category 'Let's create interesting bad guys and make them pathetic', we have the champion Sylar and the challenger Samuel.
And the writers must be conscious of it, even Claire said it: "The emo-apologist version." The Claire/Sylar kiss was disgusting, the scene was creepy, you get to hate Sylar, and then…he doesn't want to be alone! Sylar just want a friend! They tried to get him in rehab, he said no, no, no. And he'll get what he wants by losing his powers! No really, it's enough for him. That's it, no more killing?
And Claire, okay, I get it, you want company, I really understand being freaked out and all, but don't you want to tell someone where Sylar is? That you saw him? What you learn from his passage, his emo phase, that he'll try to get rid of his powers, that the description of his friend Lydia sounds a lot like your friend Lydia? Please, tell me you got this. You paid enough attention to hear the (fake) hint about Gretchen, tell me you heard his link with Samuel. And call your father!!
Samuel was... Okay, maybe they were going for romantic, but it's not what I perceived. Oh Vanessa. "How do you do it?" I think specialists called it Stockholm's Syndrome. And cool, at least, it put him in the bad guy's box a little more. Stalker and stuff. The way he was stuck in teenage mode, after all the manipulations he did, that hurt his character. I was waiting for "do you like me? Check yes or no". That's why he reunited his 'family'? Why he wanted so much power? No, not to build a town, a safe haven for all of them, but for a cottage?
But Vanessa got smart and came back to real life. And that what's pushing Samuel overboard? He didn't get the girl?
Hiro! I just want to point something possibly important: Family was represented by his father. Friendship was represented by Ando. Love was represented by Adam. Who called him by the pet name he gave him, Carp. Everything is a product of Hiro's subconscious. Conclusion?
I knew you missed him, Hiro. I miss Adam too. To be serious, have them at his trial makes sense, they are all the three more important men of his life. His dad, his best friend, and his hero/friend turned villain when betrayed. It's almost perfect.
Hiro also kept a good image of Sylar, the funny one while staying cruel. 'Eden-ish.'
I'm not sure what thinking of Mom Plot Device. The scene was nice, but still, obvious plot device. Basically, Heroes. Creating some perfect scenes one second, make us wonder what they're smoking the next one. That's how they kept us hooked. The one win amongst 20 losses in a money game, the one who make us keep playing just in case it was luck coming back and staying. Until the next time.
And now, I'll go prepare the food for tomorrow, the clothes, and adding some prompts for the porn battle.
