your picspam has left me with a vague desire to write a fic from Eli David's POV on how hard it is for him to care/show that he cares. I mean... his wife died, his daughter Ali died, his son Ari died, and there's just Ziva left. He may be at the point (or there might be a part of him that believes/thinks) that if he allows himself to care for Ziva as anything more than a former agent of his... well maybe she'll die too. And it would have to be hard for him to realize that Gibbs has become such a father figure to her. I mean, Eli is not and likely will never be the ideal dad but he's not completely evil and he still has feelings - even if he does his best to hide them.

I'm also tempted - due to us seeing Gibbs', Tony's, and Ziva's dad to write a NCIS meets Tim's dad story under less than ideal circumstances.

I did love the tony/tim interaction in this episode. And thought Ziva and Liat had a lot of chemistry together. It came off almost like an older sister jealous of a younger one. I half expected them to have a paperclip duel, sort of reminiscent of those western scenes where two gunfighters shoot it out, except of course, they'd walk the ten paces, turn, and fight it out with nothing but paperclips.
