It's just some rambling I made in
a_chapter_a_day.
* Every Houses had outstanding witches, meaning Hufflepuff and Slytherin too. Meaning Slytherin didn’t create only Dark Wizards.
* You may not think I’m pretty
But don’t judge on what you see.
A good lesson about every characters in the books (the strict MacGonagall has a heart big like that, the ugly Snape hid a potential to do the good, the superb Gilderoy is a fraud, Neville is more brave that we could think, Dumbledore the crazy has more sanity that some,Voldy is very dangerous when he’s only the worst Bad Guy since Apophis from Stargate, etc …
* Percy is such pompous we forget his good side:
“Well done, Ron, excellent!” after Ron’s sorting. (Other examples in the other books).
* While keeping in mind Jo’s talent in maths, it’s the 10th year that Snape is a teacher (not much, still learning). If it’s correct about the House Cup, he only missed the 4 first years, and ruled since.
* Me dad’s a Muggle. Mam didn’t tell him she was a witch ‘til after they were married. Bit a nasty shock for him.
…always fighting with my grandma, Endora. But luckily we have Uncle Arthur and cousin Serena to make parties. And doctor Bombay helped us.
Come on, I can’t be the only one who thought to that ;D.
*The school song:
Snape too? *grin *
* “Music, a magic beyond all we do here” …and the solution to trap Fluffy.
* Peeves's not a real ghost, true! He’s a poltergeist, meaning he can only exist by the presence of the students. (Their hormones during the sweet period of the life called adolescence, to really simplify).
The only chance Filch had to make him disappears is to make the students goes away.
Is Peeves visible when there’re no many student during the holidays?
* And finally the dream:
It begin and finish with a symbol of Voldy; the turban and the laugh/green light.
It’s Harry’s destiny to fight against him, while he’s getting stronger (heavier and heavier).
Strange how Snape knew that Harry watched him at once in the feast.
And that the first Voldy-related-dream comes after a contact with Voldy (by Quirrel) and maybe Snape.
I think the Mark and the Scar shares the same functions. One being able to react to Voldy.
Imagine if Harry could act on the Mark by his scar. Maybe it’s why Snape hated hear LV's name, if the Mark hurted each time.
Maybe the visual contact between two “marked” triggered something.snape felt something, and knew there was a risk. After all, he suspected Quirrel after only 1 month!
Malfoy laught, normal, it’s what he does each time Harry has some problems. But Snape laughs with Voldy’s laughter, like if one is confuse with the other…
It’s could mean “you’ll suspect Snape when it’s Voldy all along.”
* The vanishing step that we'll see in GOF.
* Quirrel near the forbidden corridor .
Is it how Snape suspect him? Filch told him how Harry and Ron was there and Quirrel too?
* Eyes cold and empty. Eyes are the mirror of the soul. Is he dead inside? like a vampire or metaphoricaly?
What could we say when his eyes glitter?
*About his speech. I kinda loved it.
* Maybe I'm alone, but if I had a prof like him, it wouldn't bother me. I would be like Dean, Seamus, Lavender and Parvati, under his radar.
*He criticize almost everyone, except Malfoy. Did he criticize the other Slytherins?
* Snape didn't need a spell to make disappear the potion, and he know at once where is the problem. He does that each time, a look in the potion and "you forget that, did this before that, make the wrong movement at the wrong time, etc..." but in a Snape way.
* I like how the nice dog is called Fang, and the dangerous one is called Fluffy.
*Hagrid know that the break-in was for the Stone.
* What Hagrid know about the Snape/Marauder vendetta? Tell that Snape knew and hated James wouldn't dirty James' reputation.
Does he know the Marauder weren't all white? I don't remember if Snape said something bad about Hagrid in the future, we'll see.
Someone asked what I meant by all white.
I mean this time in Snape's worst memory. Even if I think he followed them and maybe listened (but it brings too many questions), they began, they searched the fight.
Lily herself said James attacked other students, and she's the less biased.
Before OOTP, we could imagine Severus being always the first one to attact, maybe with some friends, like Draco.
Now, we know he was alone, and sometimes, the victim.
I don't say he was always innocent and James and the other the bullies, but sometimes, he was.
I see their vendetta like that, a joke, probably thought like nothing big at the time by Sirius on Sev, who defended himself physically by a hex which looked like Dark Art.
The reputations are set, Lucius heard about the little first year, ask to someone (Bella for example) to keep an eye on him, James and Sirius saw him like a Dark Wizard and treated him like such, and it climbed.
Sirius revenged himself by a non violent hex, or a prank, Severus is vexed, revenged by a dark Art, and the competition goes on, and become more dangerous and violent, in echo to the war outside Hogwart.
Until the day when Sirius and James won. Sirius win with an umbeatable blow, a direct lethal attack on Sev which could let him out of the suspiscion (from a slytherin POV, it's the perfect murder, the victim went alone and from his own choice in the trap, and the murderer is not the real culprit, and unable to defend himself).
James won with the life debt and the blow to Snape's pride.
Even if we could think that Snape win their little war while being free and alive contrary to James and Sirius, to him, he lost the day of the Prank.
* Malfoy knows what a helicopter is.
* McGonagall spot trouble very fast, like Snape. Someone here already said that Snape wanted to be the same kind of professor that her. I begin to think it could be. He always listen her, never discuss her decision, and shut up like he does with DD when she tell him something. And with his reaction in OOTP that I won’t say here…
* 20 broomsticks, 20 students? Or Jo’s math Law?
* Or Neville is REALLY tough, or it’s a wizard particularity.
* Never though *you’d*like fat little cry babies, Parvati. Does Pansy and Parvati know each other already?
* You know, when you listen McGonagall when she’s furious against Harry (I never…), you wonder what the Marauders did ;).
* Her glasses flashed furiously… Elton John called, Minerva, he want his glasses back. No really, furiously? Her eyes okay, but her glasses?
* Professor McGonagall was sweeping along… Is this verb already use about Snape ?
Someone want to catalogue every likeness between Snape and McGonagall? To verify the theory?
*It’s what, two weeks since the beginning of the semester? And they already change the password!
It's all. The other chapters later.

- the teachers’ smile had becomes rather fixed
the school bellowed
everybody finished the song…
