Tabula Rasa Recap/Picspam 1/4
The fun of being multi-shipper: not having a pairing dictate if a scene and/or episode was good or not, and there's stuff for everybody!
Again, so much caps, it's divided in 4 posts.
Teaser
Lab
Rodney wakes up from what looks like day dreaming to find himself attached to his desk, John is not there to join the fun, and there's ancient signs written on his arms. So of course, he panics and yells for help, until he finds a computer tablet with a post-it pointing to a button and asking him to push here.

He does it, and finds a message from himself, clearly scared. He explains he was the one to tie him to the desk; to be sure he'll look the message. He also hid a knife under the chair to liberate him.

Not Ronon's level yet, but there's progress. Next lesson, 'hide them in the clothes'. The last one is 'hide them on the body'. They wait for the 'hiding in the hair' lessons; it's why Rodney's hair is fluffier this season.

There is also the following message: trust no one, make a X on a window, and find Teyla. The McKay of the video doesn't know where she is, but guesses the Mess or the Brig. It said like if he doesn't know her. Also, the lives of everybody else, including him, depend of her.

So that's why John is not here, it's Teyla's turn to play with Rodney.

I liked how you can see the Rodney of the video thinking of what he'll do while he's filming. You can see DH thinking just before saying the bit about the knife.
Past
Botany Labs
Rodney goes to the Botany Labs, impressed by how full it is.

Look how this woman near the plant smiles. It's like, every department has a special someone who can calm Rodney. John for the military, Zelenka for the science, there was Carson for the doctors, but Keller doesn't to have a problem, and Botany has Katie. Or maybe she's their new favourite person because she's the one who change his mind about the usefulness of Botany. Or at least, he stop saying it's not a real science out loud. Or maybe Rodney just changed.
He's looking for Katie, because he didn't see her since a while. She was on the mainland, studying the flora and bringing sample.

They both talked the language of the Hands!

Again someone who smiles watching them.

She didn't find same giant snake, but she has a cactus, which was hiding in shrubbery, and with bristles that can pierce the skin. Subtle. They both are really cute and shy, and I really like seeing a Rodney unsure who still doesn't ridicule himself like in the Brotherhood with Alina. He can guess what the good words are!

Well, his face says WTF? at the gift, but he used his inside voice. Plus, she named the plant after him! I'm a timid girl myself, maybe it's why I'm not bothered by Katie's shyness.

Look how happy they are! And cute!
Rodney wants to invite her to lunch, but she doesn't feel good since the morning, headaches and dizziness, and she's not a newbie, so she prefer to go to the infirmary immediately. Rodney (who I could swear just thought she was pregnant) bravely proposes to accompany her. She find that cute, likeeverybody me, mainly because she knows he doesn't like to be around sick people. But still, for her, he'll go. And he totally wins more points with her.

Still, he put back the cactus on the table (to be honest, why would he walk in Atlantis with it? He'll get it back later.), and swipes his hands. (Sorry Rodney, you already have the cooties.)

Past
Infirmary
Keller first think Katie is bringing Rodney, and he corrects her. Katie had the good idea; more people have the same symptoms, including one of her friend from Botany. The guy with the bug collections.

"Come on, I told you about him!"
"…"

" Sure, yeah, I remember,"

" Hello, friend!"
Because of that, Keller wants to take her blood and Rodney's too, because he could be infected.

"But…but…"

"Needle?"

"Don't look at me, I have a migraine."
Past
Gateroom
Carter and John are talking about the Wraiths/Replicators war, and how the Wraiths won a battle, when Keller contacts Sam about the situation. She put the entire Infirmary level in quarantine, and announces that she has more patients with the same symptoms, and the majority of them were on the mainland recently. She found an unknown bacteria and she's looking in the Ancient database, and asks for the isolation of every one who went to the mainland and test them in the Auxiliary Medlab.

A doctor comes to see Keller, he, she, and Rodney are infected. Because even the worst patient only shows flu-like symptoms, he hopes it won't worsen.

There are many newbies, this season.
Present
Corridors
Rodney is warily walking in the corridors, and nobody is here. He finds a soldier, but he's unconscious or dead.

Then he's startled by Zelenka, armed with a metal pipe. They don't recognize each other, but when Radek realize that Rodney's wearing the same uniform as him, he concludes Rodney's not a soldier, and presses him to follow him to security.

It's too dark to see it, but I bet there is mark of every marine he knocked out on it. It's why it's so long.

Rodney has many questions, but Radek only says that the soldiers attack them and take them away. He also asks Rodney to shut up, because the soldiers will hear him. So of course, Rodney repeats his questions louder. And Radek is just scared, because no one has any idea what's happening.

Rodney shows the photo of Teyla on the computer, ask him if he saw her, but Zelenka didn't. He thinks she was probably taken by the soldiers, and almost begs Rodney to hide with him.

But Rodney only knows it's important to find Teyla, and refuses. So Zelenka leaves him behind, furious, ready to beat anyone with a gun. I want to see a Radek/ Ronon fight.

Past
Infirmary
Rodney really, really, really tries to be useful by telling Keller about the tingling sensation in his knees in case it's another symptom. Keller, really, really, really tries to not tell him to shut up and let her work. At least, she doesn't ignore him, she took note of the info, and only dismisses it right now because nobody else had it.

Then he goes back to Katie who was given a mug of tea, and he reassures her (and him) , telling her that Keller and her team will find a way to heal everybody fast. But Katie really doesn't feel well, and asks for some tea. Rodney shows her the mug she just had, and it's like she forgot about it.

Then, a nurse in Hazmat suit falls, from dizziness.

Oh, Katie doesn't know the rule of looking each other in the eyes when something big happened. Or maybe she forgot.
Keller reports the news to Sam and John, and hopes it only mean she was already infected, but that would mean the infection is more spread that what they thought. She still didn't find something in the database, but seeing how the situation is worse, in any case, she recommends the suspension of Gate travel.

I almost thought it was a Goa'uld mothership behind her, but it's got a triquetra. Must a gift of Daniel.
