Part 1
They received a message telling Ziva was taking a few months off. They didn't think much of it. And staying alone kind of…changed thing. Get them closer.
Enough for Tony to try restarting their little friends with benefit thing. First with mind control.
Not a lot of success, but he's not Abby. Going for the innuendoes could have worked if Gibbs didn't enter the room then.
" If I had a thing , I would show it off all the time."
He should have start with something more direct.
But Abby is not happy . No, not about them being back together. It's just that while they were being busy at that, she found the message was fake and Ziva in trouble.
They did their job, some singing (and making Tony fall a little more) and found where to go.
Some little action from Timmy , scaring Tony along the way and a bit of Gibbs magic, and they got Ziva back. Time to go home.
Vance is happy. And Ziva got a big, needed hug from Abby.
Will the state of things change?
Part 2
Not really. For now. But they have new games with the remotes !
More than ever, they like to simply look at each other and ignore the world around them.
McGee really misses the toys from LA .
Tony finds McGee cute when he sneezes . Gibbs must remind him some limits.
As long as he can still show the world what he wants. Or tempting Tim when they're alone at work.
It's even funnier now that Tim is more open to his suggestions of places to try. (Yet again, coffins are not a new experience for Tim.)
But, better get rid of the cameras first. No need to be careless now.
Now they can do whatever they want. Hey look, it's Tony's favourite view !
Ziva is happy to be back to more of the staring game .
Tony really gave up on subtle.
And is absolutely not bothered by McGee seeing someone else. They're not 'dating' after all, so good for him!
And well, it's not like he doesn't get some side little benefits.
"He's oozing a musky, caveman-esque, primitive satisfaction. Like Heston in "Planet of the Apes". [...]. You pulled a total Heston , didn't you? [...] I'm very proud of you. Did you take any pictures?"
Too bad for the lack of photos. He'll do with his imagination .

Remote game 2! First round, Tony .
Something is scaring Ziva and somehow it amuses Gibbs . What's this slot-in record player you're talking about?
"Haven't you ever seen Dragnet? Baretta? Kojak? Then this'll mean nothing to you. Who loves ya, baby?"
…Tony? Public? Remember? Yeah, it's a tv reference, but you first establish that Tim will not get it like that…
Round 2 of the remote game, McGee.
Abby found a way to get Tony and McGee some time alone without any interruptions from Gibbs.
McGee is losing weight and Tony wonder if there's a girl behind it. Tim is quick to reassure him on that . Ziva is happy to hear it.
Don't try to look innocent, he knows you were watching him .
No reason Tony should be the only one ogling .
Tim doesn't mind sharing the view with Ziva. His life is good .
Palmer doesn't like how he's being ignored since Abby's plans succeeded.
Maybe he could join a Cutest Contest? He'll have some serious competition , though.
Part 4
Ooops, lost in staring again . Good thing Ziva is here to warn them about Gibbs.
Tim just heard about Tony and Ziva and his mind went to a bad place . Silly boy, Ziva would not do that to you.
See? Not when she knows exactly where your brains went when Tony says "I think there are a lot of people who'd like to see you naked."
It's cute how Tony can still surprise McGee.
That, however, is usual. And risky .
McGee likes to tease Tony. He may regret it later. Tony is not afraid to use low tactic, like a Cute Attack .
No, seriously guys, you have to get the lost in each other's eyes thing under control.
Because Gibbs could start acting instead of watching. Palmer will try his best to not give in.
What did you said? They won't work?
What, just because McGee didn't got the message about Tony's desk being open for him?
Or because he's ignoring Tony who really, really wants his attention ?
It's simply because they don't have the same point of view about privacy and because McGee was working. Nothing bad. Right?
Part 5
No. Tony is kind of tired of this. He knows something is bothering him, but he doesn't know what. And he thinks McGee is taking him for granted. Like when he stood him up.
"Good morning, Tony."
"Is it, Tim?"
"Well, I don't see why it wouldn't be. What's wrong?"
"You stood me up last night."
"No, I didn't."
"You did."
Okay, fine, he got the wrong day and missed their date in Tim's bathtub.
"No, I did not, Tony. What is today?"
"Today is the day after the night when you were supposed to meet me at the bar at the air and space museum."
"See that, Tony? This shows that tomorrow night is when we're supposed to get together, okay?"
"I sent you 15 texts. I sat there for three hours. I waited for you. I called."
"I was in the bathtub."
Still. Maybe they're at the end. Maybe he should try seeing other people. McGee is…not really happy. Not about the other person, they're not exclusive, but come on, McC ? The McNickName are for him!
Tony only wanted to get out of the routine. Making Tim jealous is a bonus.
He's only showing what Tim could lose .
Yeah, all that is kind of making McGee less patient with stupid people .
And understand that maybe, possibly, he may want to keep Tony for himself .
Abby is not worried, she knows what escaped to Tony and McGee's attentions. But she doesn't like to see McGee all sad.
So she gives him her Gibbs Hug. I don't think scaring him will make him better.
And she was right. The second McCadden denigrate McGee , Tony shows him the door.
Ziva is really, really sad for McC.
Tony is starting to add 2+2 and Ziva knows what's in his mind. She likes it.
About time he get there.
Part 6
Post McCadden, they both try to get an idea of where they are now.
Tony at least knows what he wants now. He also knows he can get Tim on board, but not right now, from how Tim would have let him go even if it hurt him. So he'll wait. But first, make all normal again with a shared joke.
Then a peace offering tocourt put McGee in a good mood.
Tim shows his appreciation in his usual way.
Yeah, everything will be okay now.
One day, I'll understand why this : "Did you know that the word "junk" originally referred to nautical old rope of uncertain origin? Eventually, it included any discarded item." prompts this silent exchange between them.
Tony would like to know why McGee did a practical joke on him. McGee would like to know why "would you create a fake online profile last year and make me fall in love with a girl that doesn't exist?"
Tony still doesn't have an explanation to give for Claire. Wait, did he say love ?
"Well, zip up, Webelos. Your inner geek is showing." His eyes just happened to be in this general direction.>
But another disturbance is …Okay, okay, no disturbance, no touchy!
We're just going to hope season 8 will bring more good moments to follow last time they were together, with Vance asking a private moment with Tony and McGee wondering why.
Go on, S8, beat that! :D
