Snape, Harry and Potter.
I was thinking to Snape, today, and I had a idea.
The problem of certain persons after OOTP was that Snape didn’t change his attitude after seen Harry’s memories, and the similitude between him and Harry, sometime being worse.
And if he saw it?
It really difficult to change, near frightening, and Snape could be scared to forget the past and go forward. Hatred is easy and comfortable to him, familiar.
To see that childhood of Harry is not what he thought, worse, alike to his childhood, is to acknowledge that Harry is not James, that James is really gone and that he can’t hurt him anymore.
It’s to accept that the past is just that, the past, and a new life is here. It’s also accept what he’s done when he was a DE. Yeah, he know what he did, and he told all (maybe) to Albus, but does he realize or accept it?
Could he do like Andrews in Buffy, only see his kind of view of his past to not see the truth, to stay in his difficult, yes but so familiar life? Could he be to scared to go forward to repent ? Or to go forward at all?
He could create in his mind an exaggerate view of Harry’s acts to compare them with what he see: James , and to not separate the son and the father. He rarely calls him Harry, always Potter, and it help him to keep the facade.
But each years, he see one or two little things that Harry does and that James would never done, and to forget it, he insist on his ‘arrogance’ or else, and it’s more difficult to pretend with the time.
Some else found strange that the same man who read Skeeter’s article in class to humiliate Harry never said one word about what he saw concerning the Dursley? In Occlumency or in class?
Why there are no “ dear, and you’re our saviour”, “ What, the Golden Boy couldn’t defend himself against some Muggles ?”, “ In a toilet? What your fanclub would say if they know that?” ?. It’s nearly OOC, it’s not Snape to let pass a chance to ridicule Harry.
I think he begin to see Harry, the real. And it bother him. So he kept to attack him, on a ‘safe’ subject (so-calling stupidity, arrogance,…) to stay in his safe ‘world’. Every times that Harry react, Snape see Potter, his Harry, the Little James one, and it’s what he want. Maybe he deliberately kinda forget what he saw in this effect.
( In the same time, the year where someone really see what the Dursley done is the one where someone finally warn the Dursley in person. Yeah, it could be only a coincidence ;D)

In other new, my cats rules. Three times the big dog flied yelping after Miss Parker said two words to him about who's the boss in this house and garden.They chose who could go in and who couldn't.
