Saw it coming from the moment Locke said "I have Ben and I want you to kill him". I heard about the 'Lock's dad is the first Sawyer' thing last year, like the 'Claire is Jack's half-sister', so yeah, no surprise, beside John really wanting to kill someone to be one of the Others. Unless he want to play the leader again, and want Ben's position. Maybe it'll be funnier to manipulate him than Jack for him. Lock was scary, just using Sawyer like that.

I wonder if the writers thing of all this theories before hand, or just heard about them on the net and used them.

I wanted to hug Sawyer just after he killed him, when Lock entered the room.

And damnit Kate, are you forced to tell everything to Jack?

I think Jack knows about the plan between Juliette and Ben, and they have their own.

When they were the Black Rock, I didn't recognise it, and I thought it was something new, because Sawyer was surprised, and I wondered what happened to the ship. And then, after we saw the skeletons, I was 'oh, yeah, it's the ship, Sawyer doesn't know it, he wasn't there. I wonder if he walked on Artz'.

I didn't hear about the whole 'Locke's dad is the first Sawyer' thing until it was shown on the show. Yay for avoiding spoilers!

It wasn't so much a spoiler than just a theory. Seeing how every one on the island is linked, many people thought than two con men would not be a coincidence. The Claire thing came just when we heard about the daughter in Australia living with a blonde woman. It was enough to say 'it's Claire!'.

I think I heard about the two theories in the comments of cleolinda's posts.
