There was one or two really slashy moments in this episode. Oh Timmy, how unsubtle you were.
Insert Twilight Zone or Spn joke here. Also I knew the cute kid was familiar, he's Parker Booth.

Tim is very pleased than Tony noticed his new body. The hotness even killed his talent at McPuns.
"You have been looking increasingly Kate Moss-ish there, McTim. What are you down... two, three pounds?"
"15 pounds, actually, and thank you for noticing."
"Well, that's what I do for a living. Eagle-eyed special agent."

"Girl?"
"No girl."

Wow, this look at 'No girl', with this tone of voice...
And Tony checks his love's handles.

Hey, Tim's still smiling. Probably at Tony checking his gut.

Tony was scared for a while he wasn't going to be invited, there.

Hmmm, body language! Tony is leaning toward Tim.

See? I have one too!

Tony is sighing at Ziva's mistake, and shares it with, no surprise, Tim.
Hey, bring Sarah.
"Uh, Ducky, Thanksgiving is in two days."
"Yeah, well, I... I'm aware of that."
"I already have plans... I'm gonna see my sister."
"Well, bring her with you."

Tony is looking at Tim after Ducky says to bring Sarah. Tony is totally supposed to join them after.
"I also have accepted an invitation for Thanksgiving... uh, a neighbor."
"Oh, dear, and Mr. Palmer is already out of town."

"Ducky, I... I also have plans."
"Are you letting some blonde bombshell baste your bird, Tony?"
Try saying that ten times, very fast. And Tim laughs at Ziva's joke and Tony's reaction.

"No, this bird's flying solo to a poker tournament at the Big Bend Indian casino. They've got an all-you-can-eat crab buffet."
"Pilgrims and Indians gambling together...That warms the heart."

"What about your mother, Ducky?"
"Mother is comfortable, thank you. The staff take good care of her. Poor dear. She barely recognizes me when I visit."
Oh, poor Ducky. And for being alone, and for his mother. I wonder why he's giving his invitations so late. Maybe he just saw his mother, and with her not recognizing him, he decided to do his own little party, to forget it.

"You waiting for an invitation?"
"Oh, yes, uh, here's yours. Thanksgiving."
"Ah, here's yours. Cornfield."

Poker/Sister/Neighbour/Later. Damn, Ziva should have turn her answer on something ending with -er.

Heeee, fun with the feather! I think Gibbs is half pissed off, half amused.
"Maybe the crows carried it off. Caw, caw!"
"Ow."
"Sorry, I had to do it."
"Sorry, boss."

Yes, we knows the PCs, we met them last year with the not-son of Gibbs.
Tony is so not on board with the idea, Ziva neither. That what you got for playing earlier! Gibbs doesn't even hide his fun at their problems :)
"Ziva, get on DiNozzo's shoulders."
"Boss?"
"I would rather not."
"Bend over, Tony."
"Boss..."
"Come on, Tony, use those quads."
*snort* mock his pain, Tim.

"I got a cramp in my neck. I got a cramp."

He wants to let Tim go to his dream place! But Tony, that's exactly why Gibbs is not taking him. He doesn't want a remake of LA.
"McGee, you and Ziva check out Lozada. Dinozzo, you're with me."
"Sattler institute? Ooh, boss, shouldn't McSmarty-pants go to the nerd theme park? I mean, it's got to be a nerd's paradise with the World of Warcraft wallpaper and the pocket protectors and the elfin-shaped beds.' Cause I probably shouldn't...I'll get the car."

Oh wow, this place is awesome!
Tony on the bike ! Of course he can't resist to play. See the good side, Gibbs, imagine if Tim was also there. Completely lost, both of them.

Michael Weatherly, behind the scene when filming this episode:

Nice, Attitude!Kid.

1) I want that screen.
2) She's standing way too close of the screen, she's going to hurt her sight.
3) The cat's discussion was adorable, from everyone. Gibbs and Tony said the good things.
"The art, I mean."
"Thanks. That's my cat back home."
"What's its name?"
"Kimba. Lives with me and my mom."
"Kimba's good at taking out Taliban."
"You should see what she does to mice."

...okay, Tim, I know, Tony said he loved you last week, but it's not a reason to not be more discreet. More control of the tongue, I mean, look at Ziva! She totally saw you!

"Anything I can think of. You know why?'Cause you're messing with my holidays. And I don't like it when people mess with my Thanksgiving."

So Abby didn't have plans for Thanksgiving. Unless she remembered the penny talk from Christmas, and she guessed Ducky would have a problem with being alone, again.

Gibbs's starting to be tired of her quirkiness, but hid it when she looks at him.
"So what are you bringing to Ducky's dinner?"
"Not sure I'm going."
"What do you mean, you're not going? Who's going to carve the turkey? Who's going to watch the game with me? Who's going to eat too much pie?"

Was it an impression, or Pauley's voice got hoarser after Gibbs said "More sugar"? I like.
Ducky's put the turkey on the morgue! It's good, that means there's room, less dead people. And they're no doubt it's clean and disinfected. I hope.

McKinna is always happy when Gibbs gave her her orangeade. *laughs* She whisper like Angela! Of course she heard you.
"Why do I need a legal youth advocate here?"
"It's the law, sweetie."

Oh Tony! Running and walking to look cool when entering.

Jiffy is a real word? Cool. I learnt something.
"Can you just ask me about the second collage? Please, please, please, please."

Oh yeah, I love these. I have a book full of them somewhere. Note that Tim doesn't mock, but follow the discussion while keeping Tony's game, but more seriously. It's a strange combination. His tone said 'stop being silly, it's not this type of game', but not his words. Do I make any sense?
And Tony stay in his game.
"It's like those magic eye posters, where you stare at them and then, suddenly, you see that hidden image."
"Tony, Abby already un-hid it. It's frequency-jamming signals."
"No, maybe if I...Maybe if I try to unfocus..."

Headslap! And Michael must have felt this one, he was pushed forward.

"Focus, DiNozzo."
"That's it, boss. Out of focus. It's dolphins! In moonlight! Thank you, boss."
"Anytime. McGee. Anytime."
"Oh."

Dolphins and moonlight!
Oh McGee :D

And they're playing with the remote again, with Ziva watching them, always smiling, and then frowning, like in Power Down. I think she's starting to wonder what did she miss during the summer.

"Motel?"
"Good luck finding one right before Thanksgiving."
"Ducky has an extra room."

No more plans. I hope Sarah didn't count on him. But I think she come and see him often. It's just that her plans too are gone.

She saw the murder?

Oh, look at them! It's a classic on romance stories, right?
Tony was watching Tim and looked away when Tim caught him.

It getting harder to not seriously believe that they're both on MW's plan of creating the Tony/Tim affair's rumor.

Fast kid.

Wow, showing the photo of her sister was harsh!

It's not just that he's eating near McGee just like that. It's that he was closer to him until Ziva and Gibbs arrive! He only put distance when they weren't alone anymore!

Ziva doesn't like the smell :D

Really smart girl. So, she stole Ducky's card, but Ducky was surprised. And I think McGee was too, so I guess he wasn't paying attention to them because he thought it could happen. So how did he have the hit?
Maybe McGee thought it was a possibility, or maybe he's just on this side of paranoid, keeping close watch of everyone cards, just a program on the background, in case of anything suspicious.
After all, when Ziva wondered if Jeanne was responsible of the frame up in Bounce, Tim knew it couldn't be her because she was oversea. Unless he just coincidentally and recently had news about Jeanne, that means he's keeping an eye on her, months after she's out of their lives.
Wow!
"Ziva..."
"Got it."
"She'll miss."
"What's the probability of that?"
"Based on the temperature and humidity. No wind. Half moon, good light.97.6%."
"Last chance, Norvell."
"Move or I'll do it!!"
"Take it."

No Sarah? I guess she easily found a plan B. Or the poker/Sarah thing was really a fake story to hid the fact that Tim and Tony planed to be together :D

I like Ziva's earrings. Oh, Tim is so happy Tony is going to miss the showgirls :)
"Ah, it's just Indian poker, all-you-can-eat crab legs, showgirls."
"Relax, Tony. Plenty of wine."

Awww, Ducky little jump/dance of joy!

"You remembered the rolls!"
"There's not a lot available out there, Duck."
"Ah! A superb selection."

I wonder what Sean did to make Michael laugh like that. Well, stop himself from laughing.

"Close friends and dear family all. A bountiful thanks and good things for fall."

"And to all a good night! Wrong holiday."

Also, if Tim and Tony continue their slow slide into becoming more obvious as time goes by, they so will be sharing a kiss on screen or be shown making out on top of Gibbs' desk or something. I mean, that's almost the only way it CAN get more obvious.

Next step, hand on thigh! Hidden behind a desk, caught at the last second by the camera!

I approve of this theory! Haha. And even though the whole Thanksgiving together as a family thing was just a tinge corny, it was SO ADORABLE, I couldn't help but love it. Also, random note, Abby's dress is so cuteeeee.

And then, it's

You catch amazing shots; I didn't even see McGee's tongue sticking out.

I had to rewatch the scene to be sure he wasn't just talking or getting ready to, but no, he's just licking his lips while watching Tony leaves.
I guess he liked the view :)

See, Tim and Tony planned to be together, but needed a story to hide the truth, meaning Sarah. I half expect Tony invented the poker story on the spot after Ziva's comment, and it's why McGee was laughing.
Or maybe Tony was supposed to be with Sarah and McGee and it's why he turned to McGee when Ducky invited Sarah, they really, really wanted to be together.
And during the meal, when Tony spoke wistfully of his failed plan, he added the showgirls like when you always embellish a false story a little more every time you tell it, or just to be sure his story goes well with him and what the others expect.
So, when McGee answer "relax Tony, plenty of wine", it was the signal that it was okay, he could stop faking it, they'll manage like that. Like, they'll drink too much, and stay at Ducky's and share the room!
That's why Tony looked at him a little strangely. He needed the time to translate the coded message. Abby was faster, it's why she was already filling a glass during the time Tony wake up and take his other glass.

"So what are you doing this weekend, McGee?" asks Ziva.
"Oh, just spending time with Sarah," Tim says, not looking at Tony.
Tony makes a mental note to check how many condoms they have left.

TONY'S CROSS-EYED THING WAS THE BEST <3
thank you for sharing! :D

About your icon, let's see if I'm just this of a fangirl: I first thought it was the Supernatural boys, Jared pushing Jensen, but your keyword say Gilmore Girls. I never watched this show, but I know Jared stared in there. Is it him? (And maybe Milo Ventimigliathingy from Heroes.)

(Anonymous) 2009-12-09 04:33 pm (UTC)(link)You should watch Gilmore Girls! It's lovely with lots of eyecandy. Especially college, FINN. And Marty. :)

2) Re: the clicking remote thingy. I keep expecting Tony to grab Tim's hand and...I don't know. Do something incredibly invasive and awesome that proclaims their gayness to the world. IDK.
3) I think McGee is honestly just that paranoid. He's had several years of experience with his teammates now, and he's not going to be taking any chances, especially with Ducky. (Besides, what are the chances that Gibbs WOULDN'T have killed him for NOT having Ducky's cards in the system?)

The winner in 'remote taking' decide of the position in bed.
Trying to guess and anticipate Gibbs's demands can be really stressful :D

I think the episode was just ok (I can't get over some of the plot holes ) But the few subtexty/slashy moments were so blatant, I can forgive it.
I know it's been said a lot, but it's so cute how Tony's attention always goes to McGee, even at the most random moments.
And I seriously love how amused Ziva looks every time she's in the middle of some of their exchanges. She so knows they're together =D.
Oh,and on a final note, I agree with a comment above, McGee keeps getting hotter and hotter!(I just have all kinds of inappropiate thoughts about his hands)
no subject
Tony can't resist anymore, and Ziva's mind goes in bad, bad places where she watch, film, or participate :D

"Come on, Tony, use those quads."
And Tim would know about Tony's quads.
I <3 the behind the scene. Michael is so cool!
"Ducky's put the turkey on the morgue!"
I thought that was hilarious! But that's a huge turkey, he should be thawing it by now :P And yes, it would have been nice to see Sarah.
Ziva's earrings... I would hate for them to get caught somewhere and RIIIIIIIP her ear off. I love Abby's dress! And am I the only one who's noticed Tony's got two glasses? Oh wait, I think one of them's supposed to be for Gibbs...
"I wonder what Sean did to make Michael laugh like that."
A flying kiss, maybe? Or a wink? Maybe mouthed the words, "I love you," or a suggestion for later. So many possibilities!
