And the last time, it was Snape, in the hospital wing slowing being killed by Voldie by the way of the Dark Mark, and Remus who talked to him, trying to force him to fight.
And he said "he didn't push you to crush them because it's a weakness which could kill you, but because it's a strength, which could kill him!".
It was about feelings, like if Voldie convinced every DE that the feelings are bad, that they need to ignore them to be better, and Severus believes that. But contrary to what he said to Harry, it's the absence of feelings, at least the positives one which makes Voldy's job easier.
Basically, Remus tried to convinced Severus that letting his hatred and anger be his strength, he's letting Voldy killing him more easily. And that if he accepted to let Love, in any form, a chance, it could cut off Voldemort's influence on the Mark, like Harry did in the MoM.
I don't know where I'm going whith this, a theory about the Dark Mark, or a good phrase/idea to use in a fic, but I wanted to write it somewhere.
