Missed me?

Hey, hi!

How's everyone going?

Tomorrow I start my last week of internship at the crèche. Sadly, I didn't find another one, so I'll have a zero to this particular exam, meaning I won't pass my CAP (even if I have a 20 at the second part of this exam, I'll have an average of 4 because the first result is multiplied by 5, and I need a 10 minimum at the three specific tests). At this point, I can only find another internship before the end of September (before the deal with the online school is over) and get the maximum of good grades to the rest of the tests, to have less to do next year.

Anyway, I love it. And kids love me, apparently. Well, there was this one who kept pushing me with throwing stuff at me and never staying still when asked and more with a big mocking smile on his face. Because I'm just an intern, I wasn't sure of what I was allowed to do, mainly because the women here keep warning 15 time before punishing.

But when he kicked me, I punished him (staying on a chair for a while), with the ok of the bosses, and he's perfectly nice almost all the time, now.

The only thing which bothers me is how easily they're all talking about each other behind each other's backs. Nothing really mean, but still. Make me wonder what they say about me.

Still didn't watch the two last NCIS. Maybe next week-end. Because of this, I avoided the places I usually go, so I missed every spoilers. Kinda nice. Except one post in a comm. (NCIS is going to do this spoilery thing! Spoilers behind the cut!)

Also, we have a problem of burglary in town. Almost 100 houses visited. Yep. One of their tricks is to call the houses to know if there's someone in, we think they called us two or three time. One neighbour's son was watching tv when he saw a shadow in their garden and he called his father who came out with his riffle, but the guy and his two friends run away.

Apparently, the GIGN is here to help. Well, they're mainly here to deal with a drug deal and a gun deal. When my little town grew up, I don't know.

Anyway, I'll go back to train on mock exams now!

The snow is melting, but a little more is expected in the next days. That's the photos I took when it started a week ago, 2 hours between them for those with the chair. I know there's worst now elsewhere, but it's the first time in years that we had so much snow, and so early. Can't remember the last time we had a white Christmas.

Photos )

I saw a very nice calendar for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollow. Guess who were on October, November and December? Edward, Jacob and the two of them with Bella. I don't know if someone didn't know better or if someone is now laughing behind their desk.

My sister's plan for 2011 was to get pregnant, it's already done. New niece or nephew around the end of August. My brother is betting on the 29, but it's because it's his birthday.

And here's one of my resolution 2011: try to do more RL posts.

I'm not going to be out of subject, the year to come, or at least the six first months, are going to be difficult. Meeting people, finding internships in a very short time, and what bother me the most, let my sister find a new babysitter for fourth months or more.

The ideal situation would be to find a place where Sam goes, she'll stay at the crèche more often, but A) not very probable, B) doubt they'll keep me 4 months and C) there's no enough hours.

And it's without taking the papers to get in account. So yeah, it's going to be stressing. And I'm not someone who deal well with phone calls and convince people I'm totally good to hire! and just generally talk to people.

For more fun, look at different 2011 horoscopes for Libra. They had to have 'difficulty coming' in common!

I'll end on some good: Sam being cute. I managed to tie her hair and I wanted a proof before she takes it off.

Photos )

She was very happy at Christmas, because Santa Claus get her what she wanted, "un g'and lit!". A bed for big girls! And she slept in it, and she didn't fall!
She also get a Zhu Zhu pet, it was fun to watch her running after it saying "wait! But wait!". Because she wanted to put the Pink Panther plush on it and watch how long it can stay on the hamster.

Also, cats! Sadly, I never took a photo of Scratch, I didn't have a camera. That's the rest:

Photos )

So here's the end of 2010, with some good, important moments for me, and one really bad. 2011 want to challenge me, and I have no choice than deal with it. Well, no, I could give up now and hide and try something else. But that'll mean failing a lot of people, starting with me. So bring it on!

(I'm totally going to whimper and ask for virtual cookies in few weeks, but still…)

Wishing you all a wonderful year, health and happiness!!!

And back!

First:

Gibbs and Tony won the contest, no surprise there. The Gibbs episodes were Ex Files, Suspicion, and Hiatus, and the Tony episodes will be SWAK, Single Out, Bury Your Dead and Agent Afloat.

Second:

Samanta's starting to learn new words, it's fun. She has difficulties with the M (except for Miam Miam), so Mia is Bia (the dog), Mamie and Papy are both Papy and Maman and Papa are both Papa.

It lead to a fun moment during the holidays, when Micka started calling my sister, screaming Gaëlle, and Sam started to imitate him, so he kept doing it:

"Gaëlle!"
"Gawel!"
"Gaëlle!"
"Gawel!"
"Gaëlle!"
"Gawel!"
"Maman!"
"…Papa!"

Lapin become Pinpin, hippopotame is Pitapitam and today, I found how she pronounces escargot: coquillot.

Third:

Wanna lose time?

Akinator, the web genius.

He guessed McGee at the first try, and Gwen Cooper. But he failed at Miss Parker.

Bwahahahaha! I'm trying again just now with Carla Bruni. Second question, is she a singer? Nope, it's not Alizée. He got Carla after 29 questions. He's good!

I'm going to answer to the comments of the picspam now.

I was going to do a post about the bad mood I was (tiring week + egoist brother who think to buy food useful for him but not the rest of the house + spoilery people), even thought to post the video of Lorie with her song Week-end, or to celebrate the end of the week (if I'm not called tomorrow), or to make someone suffer, and then I read the special 1000th posts on [livejournal.com profile] fandomsecrets.

I didn't even realised I was smiling!

6 posts with 100-200 happy messages, just what I needed, apparently.

And it's where the clip should be if LJ didn't prevent the embedded video. Totally forgot about that.

Lorie, Week-End Clip.

Now, I need to rewatch NCIS, take a few caps, finish the McGee post 7x01, watch Glee, SPN, NCIS:LA and Bones, and catch up posts I set aside for later. I heard there were Tim/Tony fic!

Also, my sister found a better job, with more hours (and better). Which means I'll have to work every day instead of a few, which means too expensive for them, which means they're going to see people to make my job official and have benefits, which means more money for me but also that I'll have to make it official on my side too, and start an actual adult life.

On the other side, that'll be nice to have an answer next time someone ask me what I do for living. I'm a nanny! Who still have two years before having the minimal degree (CAP PE. The next are Assistante Maternel and Puericultrice. Still don't know which way I'll go, because if I try to see too far ahead, I'll block.)

Damn, I have the song in my head now.
schtroumph_c: (Default)
I reeeeeally need to learn to not too plan ahead. It's a habit my family always had, because Plan A never works.

Every time I think I have some free time and can use it, my sister change or has her work schedule changed by her boss.

Monday: could only sleep two hours, with the kind of dreams which follow your thoughts when getting asleep and waking up and you don't know for sure you actually sleep.

So of course, Sam wasn't in the mood for naps.

Tuesday: was supposed to be day off, but Gaëlle had to go somewhere for a possible new job, with better hours. She has good chance to have it, she found later than the boss is the father of a good friend of her.

At least, I had a good night of sleep. So good I woke up late. I like to wake up slowly. Have some time between cleaning the litter box and eating breakfast, you know.

Today: no mishap! Okay, so the girl was awake at 7 am. Not the first time she feels like starting her day early. Plus, her mid-morning nap is longer when it happens. Went to get her, and she's got diarrhea. Good new, she's not in a bad mood. But she's not sleepy.

Tomorrow was supposed to end at 14h, it'll be 15h45. Friday, I was supposed to have the morning off, she changed her hours to work the morning instead of the afternoon.

But for a good reason, my nephew is born today. Name's Erwan, and we'll probably leave to see the family Friday afternoon.

M6 still doesn't work, and won't work before September, but I found a way to watch the old NCIS on Megavideo with http://www.allseries.org.

If someone is curious about the French voices… (clic on 'entrer sur le site', 'séries tv', 'menu des séries tv').

I also got a notebook, named Probilicious. Yes, I know. But it's a nice petname nickname that Tony found.

Almost finished the Merlin recaps for the other blog, but still a lot to do for NCIS. I wanted to do the maximum this week, but…

Tony/McGee moment I didn't see the first time but caught the second time:

In the very end of Murder 2.0, at the reward ceremony. While everybody is waiting for Gibbs, Tony is watching Tim, and only move when Tim nod his head toward Vance. I'm not saying he's waiting for McGee's permission to go get the medal, of course, but it's a cute scene.

Oh la vache.

So that's how a spoilt brat/golden boy/king child/little emperor start. (I typed enfant-roi to translate it; the site sent me to the hell entry. Good one.)

My niece really spoiled me in this regard. Her tantrums never last, she understands things quickly, she can hold her special glass for baby, practically walk and can play alone. Bonus, put a dvd of anything with songs (favourite: Mary Poppins, Dirty Dancing, Buffy the musical) and she's too busy watching and/or dancing to bother you.

And then, there is H. Same age, one year. And a mom overprotecting. She warned me that she rarely let him alone, but 'he's very calm!'. They all told me he was very quiet, and calm, and just put him with Sam, and they'll play!

She had no one to guard him today, so she brought him at my sister. It doesn't bother me to help someone, even more a friend of my sister.

And after all, he's very quiet!

Yeah.

If someone is in the room with him. When she said she never let him alone, that meant she practically always had him in her arms! That was the only thing able to calm him a little. But leave the room, even two steps, and he cry like if you were torturing him.

I had to take him up almost one half-hour because Sam was napping. And again after. My arm hurt.

Sam was a doll. And she has the humour of her father. And grandfather. See, when she has a tantrum, not real tears, Micka fake crying, mocking her. She either stop and go back to play, or laugh. Guess what she did every time H cried.

I know sometimes, if one kid cries, the rest follow, but she didn't. At worst, she was looking at him like if he had a problem. Sometimes worried, and sometimes, "dude, what's your problem? Did you miss the toys around you?"

And to change them! Him, it was easy, she can be alone. Her? He was downstairs, the bathroom is upstairs.

I had to let him cry the time to bring her upstairs, put her in her bed (her playpen is in the living room, the bed is the only place she can't fall down, or stop her from running away), and go back to get him and place him in the bathroom, get her back, and change her. And he was still whining.

Sam was awesome. When you put her in her bed, even more when it's not nap time, she cry, because, how dare you ask her to lose time she can use for exploring on something so trivial like sleep! This time? Not a sound. She just hung on the bar and watched, waiting her turn.

Before H arrived, my only worry was how to feed two kids in the same time, because I was sure Sam would be jealous from not having all the attention. I would have preferred that.

And I do it again tomorrow.

*snore*

One day. One day I'll learn that "can you come tomorrow for one hour or two?" means the usual hours or more. I really have to stop thinking I'll stay just a little while and plan my day based on that. It became the all Saturday, and this morning instead of one hour.

I still want to write what I thought of the finales of Bones, SPN and SV, and I still didn't see Lost, and then I got accidentally spoiled on two plot points, so I'm giving up today and will just do nothing.

I'll just say that while I'm not sharing the fangirling of Misha Collins, I understand the awesome of the guy, follow his twitter, and dreamed about him last night, he was dressed like Castiel, but not acting like him, and he teamed up with Will Smith to catch someone, only he tried to catch them using a slipper like a gun.

Like, 'why it's not shooting? Oh, it's my slipper.' I was laughing so hard in my dream I actually woke up, still giggling.

Heroes

I bought some DVDs as a reward for catching up on the school work, Hocus Pocus, the seasons 1 of Angel and Dark Angel, and La Cité de la Peur, a funny French parody of slasher movies ( "Sais-tu danser la Carioca, ce n'est pas un Tango, ni une Polka". If you want to see two men dancing together.).

I received the penultimate box of lessons, and if I'm counting correctly, I will not be able to try the exams in 2010, but the year after that. Plus, I'm spending a lot of time doing the nanny. Mika is always called for an emergency or something, or Gaëlle has her hours changed at the last minute, or some bad news like the death of her colleague, or good news (for them) like a week-end just for them.

Meaning that tomorrow, from 15h, 16h, I'll have to stay at their home until Sunday, around 12h. They have internet, but not by wi-fi, meaning using their computer instead of mine, and they have AOL, and they allow the pop-ups. Yeah, I know.

I'll install Firefox and my favourite add-on, because I will not stay this long without reading the flist, I need the adblock, and the thread unfolder, and the ?style=mine. Minimum.

And with the free time that'll give me ( well, when I won't play with her. Shouldn't be a problem, 16h: snack, nap until 17h if I'm lucky, 17h30 if I'm really lucky, bath, 18h30/19h: dinner, 19h45: bed, 8h: wake up + breakfast, 8h45: bath and nap until 10, play until parent come back or meal. Yeah, I'll have time.), I'll catch up the shows of the week, plus some waiting: Bones, NCIS, SPN, SV, Lost and Numbers.

First, Heroes:

Spoilers Cold Snap )
schtroumph_c: (t&t debut of touch habit domaris68)
(Is it Torchwood time now?)

My usual source for subtitles doesn't work anymore :(

Just come back from babysitting, half to one hour, she said, which meant four. Apparently, Sam is calmer with me than with her parents. And I don't know what she see on the ceiling, but she's always watching them. Maybe the lights.

(And now?)

So much tv to watch, NCIS to cap (OMG Love & War!! They make films with Meg Ryan with this kind of plot.)...

Still have all the Lost, I think I'll try to watch the four of them tomorrow.

I really need to make me a schedule, and follow it, I'm way too easily tempted by procrastination. I only have Wednesday morning to work next week, and nothing the next one, I should be able to use the free time, right?

(Now, then?)

I also got the mobile of my brother, in case if my sister need to join me. I never used a mobile of my life, I had to find the user's guide on the net, I only managed to lock me out of it. I need a code, and he didn't give it to me. Also, my father already use it for some useless question (like if he has to buy bread & journal if I couldn't. I can say it in the morning before he leave for work, it didn't change just because I have a phone.), and I know it's going to bother me fast. I don't like using a phone, I really don't, and having people expect me to have this one on me all the time? Yeah, no.

It's just for emergency, and that'll stay like that.

(Gwen! Jack! Ianto! Rhys!)

Have to find the subtitles of the last Bones, now...
schtroumph_c: (t&t main bananacosmic)
I'm behind in so many stuff, it's not funny.

I should, not stop, but avoid the fandom stuff, scan the flist and keep the links elsewhere until I caught up. I remember doing this once, I don't remember exactly when, but my "to read later" folder of links was very big once I was free. Maybe Nano. I should try it again.

Actually, I was ready to prepare some kind of schedule for the end of the month, but my sister got an emergency, and instead of watching Sam Saturday and Sunday afternoon, I have to work all Sunday from 7h30 to whenever Gaëlle will wake up (usually 16h30, 17h) and the same for Monday, plus the possibility to go at their home during the night Saturday and Sunday in case of Mika is called at work.

Things do to:

DM théorique Nutrition, I'll keep the table of the question 2 for the end, because it's the one which block me (create the menu of a 9 month kid, with three propositions each time).

DM pratique Nutrition.

Copy the 5 chapters of Anatomie et Physiologie.

DM théorique + pratique Anatomie et Physiologie.

Caged picspam.

Merlin's recap.

Enemy at the Gate post.

I'll begin the non-stop working Tuesday. I think.
schtroumph_c: (ziva et tim stakeout bananacosmic)
It's always sooner than planned.

I was supposed to watch Sam Tuesday (day) and Wednesday (morning). But my sister got sick, and she couldn't take care of her daughter, and she missed work, so one day and half more for me, and she has to work tonight, meaning adding tomorrow (day).

And now, Micka must also work tonight (mostly early morning, 1am or so) so I'm leaving tonight to spend the night at their home. At least, I wouldn't have to rush for dressing tomorrow, I'll be able to stay in pyjama until her morning nap.

NCIS 3

schtroumph_c: (t&t main bananacosmic)
It's possible that I have another kid to babysit next month. A friend of my sister has difficulty to find a nanny, and Gaëlle said she'll talk to her about me, and I'll watch the kids at my sister's or her friend's home.

About Sam, she's going to be the kind of person who sleep 4 hours by night and are fully rested. Her naps always last 30/45 minutes, she's awake at 7 am. And she has an amusing system warning for when she's tired: her skin around her eyebrows become red.

Every presents for Christmas are received (thanks you Amazon for the quick delivery) and wrapped. Still have to find some earrings for Gaëlle, though.

And now, the third part of the NCIS picpsam! Today, it's the second episode of the season 4, Escaped.

I watch over Samanta Friday afternoon. I was supposed to stay from 15h30 to 20h, her parents were back at 19h. Gaëlle was just a little worried. Micka was comprehensible (read mock to death). I found a good thing, she loves Dr Horrible, she sings and dance when she heard it.

Tv and RL

Sep. 23rd, 2008 03:28 pm
schtroumph_c: (Default)
It's going to be a biiiiiit long.

RL first:

Kevin stopped high school, but he chose instead a new school in Belgium, two days with lessons (marketing, sale, this kind of stuff), and the rest working in a shop, they have a contract with many shops, students have the money and the experience, the shop has cheap workers, and in the end, the school help their students to create their business. The only problem was to find a job in Belgium, the stores in France didn't accept to deal with the school.

We're near the border, they have many students from France, so that's why they wanted to work with them, but they said no. He found something anyway. So now, he'll spend the day in Belgium. No more meal to prepare at 12h!

Me, I spent a day with my sister to take care of her daughter alone, and learn how to do it. Besides feeding her, everything was a first, dressing, diaper, bathing… Samanta has this trick, when you try to put the diaper, she is calm when you put it, and when you are ready to close it, she throw her legs abruptly and you have to do it again.

She was also nice enough to have shit outside her diaper for my first change! Well tried, girl, I have cats, I need more to be disgusted by that.

I was warned about her refusal to sleep the afternoon, waking many times, crying, falling asleep, and repeat, but for this time, she was tranquil.

So, 30 October, Gaëlle is back to work, and I begin mine. Her co-workers are just a little jealous that a) she can trust her nanny, and b) she doesn't even have to wake her up and prepare her, because I'm going at her home instead of her bringing the girl at mine.

TV Reviews:

My gift for laziness is great. I always wait for the subtitles, and then, well, I just don't care anymore to write something. And now, with the news seasons coming (Heroes, NCIS, House, Numb3rs, Smallville, Supernatural, SGA, and Bones), I really should start again. More bad grammar for you, yeah! I'm going to try to catch up for those already aired first:

Bones, without any order:

Spoilers for the new season )

Smallville

Spoilers Odyssey )

Supernatural

Short but still spoilery for new eps )

House is an asshole, news at 11. This part is spoilery. )

SGA:

I didn't watch Tracker yet. I stopped at the Gateroom scene. I knew the gist of it (plot and, well, not-plot), so I looked for spoilers for the first time since years, and now, knowing I don't mind Keller, I even *gasp* like her, but having a problem with I guess it's spoilery. )

I'll watch it eventually anyways, but I just want to know what to expect.

Now, 15h15…Cleaning, Heroes, and last part of the DM.
